Transforming lives and communities in the Peruvian Amazon.

Elsa Solsol

“My life changed when I began training at Minga. I learned to think about my future and decided to become a lawyer after seeing how many women from the riverbanks weren't heard when they reported violence. Now I'm finishing high school and will continue studying to defend the women of my community.”.

Our impact can be felt at many levels: personal, familial, communal, institutional, and environmental. Minga is changing social, cultural, and gender norms; empowering women and youth with concrete leadership and advocacy skills; and improving quality of life through the development of family income-generating projects, which in turn contribute to forest conservation and environmental protection. Minga's methodology is producing agents of social change who are transforming their lives and those of their communities.

Measurement and Evaluation

At Minga, we are committed to rigorously measuring our impact. We use a combination of quantitative and qualitative methodologies to assess progress toward our goals and deeply understand the changes we have made in the lives of people and their communities. We collect data through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and analysis of our listener letters.

This approach allows us not only to demonstrate our results to partners and donors, but also to continuously learn and adapt our programs to maximize their effectiveness and relevance. We believe in transparency and accountability as fundamental pillars of our work.
