Minga Tour is an educational ecotourism program focused on providing the adventure of experiencing and supporting social change in the Peruvian Amazon. Our program creates a space for a mutually beneficial and respectful experience between students of all ages and the Indigenous communities with whom we work. This is a great opportunity for universities, high schools, and religious groups that want a unique and immersive educational experience.
We offer a limited number of trips per year, so contact us today to reserve your spot!
Share real moments with families and community leaders. Listen to their stories, learn their ancestral wisdom, and participate in cultural activities.
Navigate the Amazonian rivers, explore the lush rainforest, observe incredible biodiversity, and learn about local conservation efforts.
Your trip directly contributes to funding Minga Perú's programs, supporting the empowerment of women and youth, and the sustainability of communities.
You will learn how human rights, environmental conservation, and basic healthcare knowledge
define Minga Perú's mission in the Peruvian Amazon, one of the most isolated and neglected
regions in the world. Minga Tour's approach to social change will connect you and your fellow
students/classmates face-to-face with local communities to share knowledge about the diverse
cultures that inhabit the Amazon and give students the opportunity to hear the personal stories
of local women and youth—all, of course, while enjoying the incredible sights and sounds of the
Amazon rainforest.
By participating in the Minga Tour, you will help Minga Peru generate income to help sustain our
current programs in the Amazon and also expand our support to more local communities.
Choose the experience that best suits your interests and availability. Each trip is a unique opportunity to connect, learn, and contribute.

"I am beyond grateful to have spoken with indigenous Amazonian women and to have interacted with a completely different culture. By learning about and seeing the work that Minga Peru does, I have had the opportunity to witness how passion can create incredible and positive changes in many lives. By empowering women, equal rights are created, and everyone feels empowered to make their own decisions without fear of repercussions. Thank you, Minga, for teaching us that a small change can have a lasting ripple effect."
"Meeting these women from the Peruvian Amazon made me realize how access to education is empowering women and enabling them to live in a healthy environment where they feel equal to men, and also how education is changing the role dynamics in families and throughout the community. Thanks to Minga Peru, I was able to witness this and much more. It was an incredible experience!".
"This organization's achievements are similar to my own goals. Seeing how Minga is creating change from within, helping Indigenous people and communities build something together from the inside out, was an incredible and unforgettable experience."
